Gratitude is an amazingly powerful tool that can be used to cultivate personal change and awareness. The key is to keep it simple. Start with the small things and soon gratitude will find its way into all of your experiences.
I have been using these three steps for some time, and am always amazed by their power. Gratitude continually helps to lift my spirit and most importantly, it reminds me that no matter what is going on in my world, there is always something beautiful to be thankful for.
Say Thank You!
When you experience something, that brings you joy, say Thank you! There is no need to wait for something big to happen, you can start right now…say thank you for the smell of laundry as you take it out of the dryer, the amazing parking spot you just scored, or the beautiful bird flying overhead.
Curl up the corners of your mouth and let that smile shine! Not only will you feel better, others around you will as well – smiles are contagious!
Feel the Happy
Be aware of how you feel in the moment. The simple acts of saying thank you, and bringing a smile to your face will cultivate joy and calm within, making the little things in life your source of happy.
Remember, gratitude starts with you, so take a moment each day and thank yourself for everything you do, and all that you have to offer.
You are an amazing person - strong, courageous, beautiful and complete just as you are. Now get out there and spread your Happy!
